Patrick van het Nederend (Somatic Hub) will be a special guest at Few Good Men, offering an exclusive instruction in Russian Martial Art Systema.

The theme of this evening is: Body as a Gateway.
Through movement, breathing, and awareness, the body becomes more than muscle and bone — it opens pathways to resilience, clarity, and deeper connection.

Participants will explore how the body can act as an entry point: for healing, presence, for strength, and for authentic interaction in both training and daily life.

Ryo Onishi, the head instructor at Systema Osaka, has been training since 2006 with the founders of Systema, Mikhail Ryabko and Vladimir Vasiliev, in Moscow, Toronto, Tokyo, and Osaka.

With over 20 years of martial arts experience in Kendo, Judo, and Bujinkan Taijutsu prior to his Systema training, Ryo brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his teachings.

As we close the year, we invite you to join a special seminar dedicated to one of the most profound principles in movement, recovery, and self-defense: tension and emptiness.

Tension and emptiness are not only things we see in others – they also live within ourselves. Unresolved tension can restrict us, while inner emptiness can leave us unsupported or disconnected. In this seminar, we will explore how to recognize these states, feel them in the body, and transform them into sources of strength, resilience, and clarity.

We’ll close the day together with drinks and small bites — reflecting on the year behind us and opening space for what is to come.

WORKING WITH TENSION AND EMPTINESS

During this seminar you will learn to see, sense, and work with tension and emptiness — both in yourself and in others. We will explore practical tools to release restrictions and restore inner balance, while gaining insights into how these principles can support both healing and self-defense.

The day will unfold as a deep training session, preparing body and mind to step into the new year with clarity and resilience
